Image of the digital likeness of Chief Experience Officer Jill Schiefelbein layered in front of a Dr. Seuss drawing of "Soar to High Heights".

This is perhaps one of my favorite short-but-sweet avatar uses. In case you didn’t know, there’s now the ability to add a video into your Zoom waiting room. This can be used strategically in many ways if you need people to view content prior to meeting with you. However, if you want a base solution to have as a video that will spark some conversations and break the ice on any call, a hyper-realistic avatar video is a great way to do it and is a fun use of your digital likeness.

Your video will loop, so if you regularly have people waiting more than 15-30 seconds, you’ll want to make sure your video is a little longer (perhaps make it a one-minute video). This way you can provide pertinent information up front, and then something fun in the second half.

I do this with my Zoom waiting room video right now, as I tell anyone waiting and watching the story of a piece of artwork that they may see during the meeting. Personally, this little touch has opened the door for many conversations with clients and potential clients. And has even led to extra business!

Check out the video below to see an example.
